Meet Professor Butter Beard
After eighteen years as a Pastry Chef in New York City and Western Massachusetts, Michael McClellan moved to London in 2005 to complete his master’s degree in Early European Art from the University of Glasgow, specializing in Scottish Medieval Art. He is now a Professor and Art Historian teaching Art and Photographic History in various colleges along the New Jersey coast.
Professor Butter Beard is a new project combining his two passions for art and baking. Personal favorite works of art ranging from classic Greek sculpture to modern photographs by Cindy Sherman inspire him in the kitchen to create his own works of art combining butter, flour, and sugar.
